Careers

Holland Beckett has been in business for more than 75 years, yet has a reputation for being innovative and dynamic.  This combination of stability and energy means it is a great place to work, which is evidenced in a very low staff turnover.

We pride ourselves on our ability to deliver excellent client service, while providing ongoing training and professional development, a healthy work/life balance, and a range of enjoyable social opportunities.  Our Facebook page provides an insight into the firm’s culture.

We are always keen to hear from talented people interested in joining our team, whether or not we have current vacancies. If you are a lawyer, law graduate, legal executive or a legal support person and believe you have the necessary attributes to join us, we would be interested in hearing from you. Please send a copy of your updated CV, cover letter and academic record to careers@hobec.co.nz.

Summer Clerk Programme

Holland Beckett runs a summer clerk programme every year from November to February in our Tauranga office. This is a great opportunity for students in their penultimate year of study, to work in one of Bay of Plenty’s top law firms alongside some of the Bays’ best solicitors.

As a summer clerk at Holland Beckett, you will get to experience work in our Property/Commercial and Litigation practice areas, have ongoing technical and soft skill training, meet some great people and have all the benefits of working in a large provincial firm.

Our aim is for each of our summer clerks to have a great summer, get to know our firm, our people and our culture and values.

We take applications for our summer clerk programme from the beginning of March through until the end of June, with interviews and offers being made in July/early August.

If you would like to apply for our summer clerk programme, please send a copy of your cover letter, CV and Academic transcript to careers@hobec.co.nz.
