Bill Holland is a partner at Holland Beckett, specialising in trust law and in commercial and property transactions.
Bill acts as legal adviser to a large number of Tauranga’s leading businesspeople and for a number of community organisations and in recognition of his contribution, recently won the Business Leader of the Year Award in the Chamber of Commerce Business Awards.
He was born, raised and educated in Tauranga. While completing his University qualifications he worked for a large Auckland law firm for two years. Upon returning to Tauranga to live Bill joined Holland Beckett which had been originally founded by his late father.
Bill has had extensive community involvement including Tauranga Boys’ College Board of Trustees (chairperson - 12 years), Tauranga Rotary Club (Paul Harris Fellow with Sapphire Pin and past-president), YMCA (chairperson - 5 years), Tauranga Rowing Club (life member), Tauranga Old Boys’ Rugby Club (secretary). He is currently a board member of Priority One (being an organisation established to foster business and economic growth in the wider Tauranga area), Community Growth Limited and the Acorn Foundation (chairperson); and serves as a trustee on a number of community-based trusts.
