Amy is a senior specialist employment lawyer who provides strategic advice to our employer clients in all aspects of employment law. Please contact her assistant Casey Freed in the first instance.
Amy has previously acted for both employers and employees, as well as having involvement with union matters relating to collective agreements. Amy is available to advise in relation to both contentious and non-contentious matters. For employers, she is able to provide logical and practical advice in relation to restructurings and disciplinary matters. She is also available to review and update employment agreements and policies, as well as provide information in relation to health and safety issues. For employees, Amy can advise in relation to all workplace issues (including disciplinary matters, harassment and discrimination), redundancy matters, exit negotiations and settlement agreements.
In addition to employment law, Amy also has specialist intellectual property law experience (trade marks, designs and copyright), having worked for a boutique Wellington intellectual property firm and in the intellectual property department of a 'Magic Circle' London firm. Amy is able to offer practical advice and solutions in relation to the registration of trade marks and designs and can assist in relation to copyright and domain name issues.
Furthermore, Amy also has medico legal (HDC), Human Rights (HRC) and coronial inquiry experience.
Amy is an accredited LEADR mediator and is able to accept instructions to act as a mediator.
