After studying in Wellington, Dharmen moved to Rotorua to commence work as a Solicitor at the Rotorua Community Law Centre. He later joined the firm of Olphert & Associates Ltd. Dharmen joined Holland Beckett following the merger in 2013. Dharmen’s practice has an emphasis on Employment Law, Relationship Property Law, Family Protection Act claims and Protection of Personal and Property Rights.
Dharmen can also advise in respect of Immigration Law matters such as assessment of permits/visas required, immigration eligibility criteria, residence applications, work permit applications, appeals to the relevant authorities, applications to the Overseas Investments Office and finding ways through what seems to be a dead end.
Dharmen has a general litigation background, including family, employment, civil and criminal law. He also has a degree in economics and worked as a macro economist and a business analyst for about six years before venturing in law.
