Peter has recently joined Holland Beckett following the merger with Rotorua law firm McKechnie Quirke & Lewis.
He commenced work with Lands and Survey in Dunedin in 1977, before moving to Rotorua to work for Maori Affairs from 1980 -1981, and Social Welfare from 1981 – 1982.
Peter commenced in private practice in Rotorua in March 1982 by establishing the firm Alan Trotter and Peter Lewis, and since then has been a stalwart of the Rotorua legal community. The firm became Trotter Quirke & Lewis, which then merged with McKechnie Morrison Shand in 1988 to become Trotter Mckechnie Quirke & Morrison, and later McKechnie Quirke and Lewis in 1992.
His areas of expertise are Commercial Law and ‘Problem Resolution’.
Peter is also a passionate and able golfer, and is often ‘on a course’.
